I have to say, Insanity/ The Asylum is the best workout I have ever done in my life. I finished my first round in the middle of June this year and I felt that I was in the best shape of my life. I started out at a weight of 193 lbs. and finished up weighing in at 187 lbs. In the 30 days that it took to complete this program, I noticed a considerable transformation in my total fitness. I'm talking increased speed, quickness, agility, flexibility, durability, and overall strength. After each day completed, I grew increasingly more and more anxious to move on to the next day. I knew that each rep of every exercise served a meaningful purpose. This workout has been the biggest fitness challenge for me thus far in my 43 years of existence. Fitness for me has turned back the hands of time and has given me a a renewed sense of energy and excitement. Asylum has brought me to the pinnacle of my fitness mountain. Every workout, I have to focus and bring an inner strength necessary to get the desired results I want to achieve. You definitely cannot go through the motions with any of these workouts and you absolutely have to bring your "A" game! That old saying, " Whatever doesn't kill you, only makes us stronger." I think whoever said that was describing Asylum. It will take you the brink of defeat but will give you that sense of completion that you actually accomplished something that is rather difficult.
I just started my second round yesterday, and I am more excited this round than I was my first.I know what I need to concentrate on and I plan on concentrating on the areas I am weak at. So if you are ready to take that bold step and take your fitness to another level, The Asylum is the way to go. In order for us to grow, changes must be made. I guarantee it will work! Good luck on your journey.

Fitness Maturity
I still can't believe all that has happened to me over the past 2 1/2 years. It seems like yesterday that I was opening up my P90X box. The 1st thing that came to mind was, what was I getting myself into. I felt like this inexperienced little boy stepping into this adult world that I knew nothing about. The excitement and anticipation I felt was that of child waiting to open up his presents on Christmas morning. An anxiety that brought about a curiousness, not knowing what I was going to unwrap. Man, was I in for a surprise. Lets just say I manned up real quick.
In my early adult life, I would workout and stay fit, go to the gym regularly, eat whatever I wanted, and not have to worry about gaining excess weight. I had youth on my side and very active metabolism. I didn't know that I as I got older , I would need to concentrate more on fitness and actually eat healthy food. "Eating healthy!" Are you kidding me? I figured if I worked out, I can eat whatever I wanted to.
As time moved forward, my age increased, and so did my weight. Many years had passed and many tings had occurred in my life. I got out of the service, moved to Vegas, got married, had a child, got divorced, my mother passed away, and next thing I knew, I was on my way to ruining my health for the rest of my life. I was 41 years old and I felt like sh#@, physically and especially mentally.
I was done feeling horrible so I went and purchased P90X and that changed my life dramatically. This began the start of my fitness transformation which in turn began my fitness maturity. There has been many great things that I have learned about myself when it comes to my body and my overall fitness. Gaining knowledge and wisdom is the inevitable outcome the more you train. As I got stronger and noticed significant changes in my body, I thirsted to know more and absorb as much great information about physical fitness as I could. The more I fed myself about fitness, the more I realized I wanted to try new training regimens which would have a huge impact on my overall maturity level.
The way I did this was through trial and error and paying close attention to the different stimuli that effects my body and using them for continual physical and psychological growth.
