Christmas Wishes
I hope that everybody is having a wonderful Christmas season so far. Over the past few weeks, I have had a lot of opportunity to reflect on my life and give thanks to all the blessings that I have received. I am very fortunate for my family and friends and the people I have motivated and continue to inspire. This has been something I have not and will not take for granted. Everyday I wake up and take a breath, allows me to realize more and more the purpose I serve on this earth. It is humbling, in my eyes, to be able to give the gift of Health and Fitness and Beachbody has seen that this is possible.
I pray that everybody has wonderful and Merry Christmas and that everybody's Christmas wishes come true. I have gone over and over in my head thinking about my own personal Christmas wishes and wondering what I would like. Its nothing you can buy at a store, its nothing you can order on line, and its nothing you can put a monetary value on. The one wish I do have is that the health of all people, friends, family and loved ones, improves! I want to be able to continue to show people that living a healthy lifestyle is FUN and not a chore. It's a Blessing and the way I want to live for the rest of my life! Merry Christmas

Are you ready?
Are you ready?
by Richard Sanchez on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 1:23am
With the end of the year approaching, several people are thinking to themselves, " What is my New Year's resolution gonna be?" One of the resolutions that people will try is getting fit. Several thousands of dollars will be spent on gym memberships and many will begin working out. After a few weeks, the time spent at the gym will slow down.
Now, here is a few questions I want ask and see if you are ready for fitness.
1) D you feel good about you present fitness level?
2) Do you want to improve on your fitness?
3) Are you tired most of the time?
4) Do you want to increase your energy level?
5) Do you eat healthy most of the time?
6) Are you willing to make necessary changes to improve your nutrition?
7) Are you comfortable at your present weight?
8) Are you ready to commit to a workout regimen?
9) Do you want to make fitness a part of your lifestyle?
10) Do you want to help motivate and inspire others to improve their fitness and nutrition?
These are the questions I have asked myself several times. These are the ones that keep me focused, motivated, and inspired. Now, please take a few moments and ask yourself these questions and I hope they are helpful to you. Looking forward to your feedback, Rich

Day 23- The Challenge!
Hello my friends, how are you all doing? I hope all of you are well and in great health. I want to start by wishing you all of you very Happy Thanksgiving! Day 23 is upon us, and for some, this challenge might start becoming a little difficult and less motivating. Some may even want to quit and just put off their healthy eating until 2011. Then there are some that are still using this as a motivational factor to continue their healthy lifestyle.
Well, this is what I say! I say this is the time to "DIG IN!" AND SEE WHAT YOU ARE MADE OF. If any of you are struggling, know that I am always here to help! Keep pushing and keep focused on your goal! Document what you are striving for and reflect on them day to day! Know in your heart and your mind that YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH WHAT YOU SET OUT TO DO!
If you are at those crossroads, and not sure which direction you want to go,STOP, and think for a moment! Take a look at the road ahead and decide which is the easy one to travel and which one is the more difficult one to travel. Some will choose the easier one because it is more convenient, and less difficult. There is no challenge. I choose the difficult road, the one LEAST traveled! It has been a great journey with many adventures along the way. Most of all, it has been the MOST REWARDING! I guarantee this, even though it may be a struggle to make those healthy choices in the beginning, in the end it will become easier and your Lifestyle for a healthier life! I commend you all and proud of each and everyone of you! Remember, "ONE DAY AT A TIME! God Bless you all, Rich

Day 3- Holiday healthy eating
Hello all my friends. This is our 3rd day in and I want urge everybody to stay focused and motivated. All of you are doing fantastic. I hope you all don't have anymore Halloween candy laying around, LOL, and if you do, make sure you dispose of it. That doesn't mean eat it either, ha ha. Think of the goals you want to reach and the way you want to look. There are other key components to consider as well when it comes to your nutrition is a sufficient amount of water throughout the day. As the weather gets cooler, the need for water lessens and the urge to drink other beverages increase, ie. more coffee, hot chocolate, egg nog perhaps. The list goes on. I personally drink coffee, but it is done in moderation. Water is just as equally important in the winter time as it is in the summer.
Another area of importance that I feel is also the time that you eat. Eating right before you go to bed is not good. You should stop eating at least 3 hours before you go to bed. I hope you all are having a great week and continue to keep eating healthy through the Holidays. Remember, One day at a time! Im with you all every step of the way! Talk to you all soon, Rich

The Why's have it!
Why is the question many of us face , almost everyday. We sit back and wonder, does it ever occur to us that sometimes the answer to that isn't always readily available. HMMM? Food for thought already!
As children , the question that we would always ask our parents is Why? 'Time to go to bed" Why? "Time to clean up your room" Why? "Time to come inside" Why? "Time to do your chores" Why? " Time to get up for school" Why?
"Why" is programmed into our lives at an early age and sometimes the responses I would get would be, "because", "I'm your dad", "I'm your mom", or even "because I said".
As I got older , I began to realize that the answer to "Why" needed to be a little more in depth than "just because". I feel that the person asking "why" deserved a better answer than "just because". When my daughter asks me "why", I do my best to give her the most thorough answer to help her understand the why. Every "why" I come across gives me the opportunity to turn that into a learning experience for her and I.
Since becoming a Beachbody coach and transforming many facets of my life, I started too ask myself , "WHY?" The best thing about asking myself Why, is that now , I have the answer for everyone of them. Sometimes, I like to check in every so often with my "Why", like I am doing right now.
The first why I want to ask myself is " Why is health & wellness very important in my life" The answer , simply, is that I love the way I feel by being fit. I'm 42 years old and I have been Blessed not to have any any medical issues or injuries preventing me from training. I have not and will not take that for granted. I hold that very sacred in my life.
The second why I ask is, "Why do I do the the things I do everyday, ie. eat healthy, train hard? Prior to March of 2009, I was not in the greatest of health. I was the epitome of a procrastinator, and a big slob. I felt horrible, not only physically, but mostly mentally. I didn't want to be that person anymore so I made a change to get fit, stay fit, inspire, and motivate! The feeling I get when I can inspire others is more important than lasting all the way through an Insanity workout. The stronger I get, then so do the people I motivate! My motivation is derived from INSPIRATION!
I feel sometimes people need to check their "Why's. I love doing what I am doing and I love the person that I have become. It's amazing to me that all my results and accomplishments have all come from that little question, "Why?" It has made me a better person and allows me to make healthier and smarter choices in my daily living. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed sharing my WHY with you. Stay inspired , why, why not! LOL , God Bless, Rich
