Memories of our youth

Blessings galore, Blessings galore! Life lately for me, has been one Blessing right after another! Our lives as adults seem to be consumed with more and more responsibilities and we forget to slow down. Today, I was reflecting on my life and thought to myself," man, I'm 42 years old!" In the same moment, I realized, I don't feel it! I feel better now, than I did 10 years ago.
I decided to take a few precious moments in my life today and think about my memories of my youth. My little girl, who is 10 years old is so full of energy, love and passion. I look at her and realize how life should be for us, even as adults. I try to put myself in the mind set to keep me grounded so I do not get so wrapped up with hustle and bustle of "Grown up Life".
It's a constant reminder that , life is so fast paced, that I feel we need to stop and smell the roses along the way. I believe I control my own destiny and I also control the speed at which I travel. By controlling that speed, this allows me to experience new adventures which alot of times brings back memories of my youth. Those memories make me smile and give me a greater appreciation for my life and the people that are in it. So tomorrow when you are just sitting back and not doing too much, reminisce on memories of your youth and it just may bring a smile to your face. You never know. Just a few thoughts I wanted to share, Rich

  1. Great post Richard.

Plyo always makes me feel like a kid again. I'm off hiking and jumping in the Santa Monica Mts. or off climbing the rocks in Chatsworth.

Is it any wonder I love that workout. It's such a wonderful feeling.
